How do I accomplish this? Well, it's a secret. Just kidding -- I accomplish this through exams called CLEP tests. CLEP stands for College Level Examination Program. There are CLEP tests for 34 subjects and can be counted for 3, 6, or 12 college credits if you pass -- a score of 50 qualifies as a pass.
CollegePlus! is a Christian association which helps students and adults earn a completely qualified degree in 2 years or less! I am well passed the two year mark, and probably have two (or more) to go, but...I have the ability to do other things. I am able to lead my discipleship group, stay at home and be involved in family things, go on missions trips, etc. When my grandpa came to live with us in his final 5 weeks, I was able to take school off and help my family take care of him and stuff around the house. This was a huge blessing.
Taking CLEPs, and a few DSSTs will get me through my generals at which time I will enroll with Thomas Edison State College and take online courses with them. And that's how I'll earn my Organizational Leadership degree! By the time I graduated high school, I was very close to being a Junior in college by doing Dual Credit. This was difficult, and it will continue to be difficult, but determination, patience, and Christ will get me through this in one piece. I'm very excited to have this opportunity to save money, and time -- both of which are vital in this journey of life.
